Machine screens
Reading a machine's screen: its tabs, its status, its gauges, and what it does when power runs short.
Every Enthalpy machine and engine shares one screen layout, so once you can read one you can read them all. Here is the Triturator, working on three stacks at once. Click the tabs.

- 3How much power it is drawing right now.
- 4Stored energy. Hover it for the exact amount.
- 5Each lane works on its own stack; the arrow fills as it goes. Locked lanes show crosses until a Manifold Module opens them.
- 6Shows or hides the side configuration panel.
The four tabs#
- Main: the machine's slots, gauges and progress.
- Upgrades: the tier kit and module slots, with what they do to speed, cost and buffer beside them.
- Configuration: auto-input, auto-output, sounds, redstone control, and the machine's own options (such as a lane balancer or a fluid mode).
- Info: a short in-game guide to the machine.
Hover an empty slot to see what goes in it, and a crossed-out slot to see what opens it. With JEI installed, clicking a progress arrow shows the machine's recipes.
Status#
The box at the top right says what the machine is doing. Running and Idle are what you'd expect; Disabled means its redstone setting is holding it off. Every message is explained on Status messages.
When power runs short#
A machine that can't pay for the next moment of work stops and shows Charging. It waits until its buffer holds a couple of seconds of full-speed running, then goes again. On a weak supply it works in steady bursts rather than flickering on and off, and the power readout always shows what it really draws. To fix it, add power, or draw less: fewer Celerity modules or open lanes, or more Economizers.
Redstone control#
On the Configuration tab: Always ignores redstone, Low runs only without a signal, and High runs only with one. Combine it with a comparator or a daylight sensor to run machines only when you want them.
Lanes and balancing#
Processing machines start with one lane; each
Manifold Module opens two
more, up to five. With more than one lane, the Balance lanes option spreads incoming items
evenly across them, so every lane keeps working.
